Excellent Chief’s Fall 2022 Letter
Sir Knights and Cousins,
Fraternal greetings to one and all of you! I hope that you had a safe and happy summer, and are enjoying the last bit of warmer weather before the crisp autumn winds and familiar gamboge hues and russet tones once again grace us.
It's been a productive year so far. We have brought 9 new members into our Council, with more to come. In March Trinity Council was well-represented at the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Detroit, and in June I had the honor of meeting His Excellency Daniel Mulhall, Republic of Ireland Ambassador to the United States and Sarah Keating, Acting General Consul of the Midwest.
Our new sister Councils, St. Gobban Saer Council No. 130 and Tully Cross Council No. 131 continue to grow, we look forward to continued cooperation to advance Knight Masonry throughout the state!
We hope you'll join us at our upcoming meeting on Saturday, September 17th in the Corinthian Room of the Detroit Masonic Temple (4th floor East), we open at 10:30 am. We will confer all three degrees, if you would like a part in the work please let me know ASAP. Please be there to support our new members!
Immediately following the meeting we will retire across the hall to the Detroit Masonic Temple Library Archive and Research Center for continued fellowship. Lunch will be available for a suggested $10 donation.
If you plan to stay for lunch please let either myself or Scribe Corey Curtiss (cfcurtiss@gmail.com) know so that we have an accurate count.
The story of the Irish Masonic Canon has had a profound impact on me, and I imagine you as well. The timeless example of Zerubbabel and the faith and perseverance personified is a continued source of inspiration. See you soon.
Go raibh míle maith agat,
Rob Moore
